RIBA Venues appoints new Venues Manager

United Kingdom – 03 Mar, 2015 – RIBA Venues, the conference and events arm of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), based at 66 Portland Place in London, today announces the appointment of a new Venues Manager.

Christine Rupprecht joins the company after over seven years working in hotels and venues in event operations, sales and planning. Christine’s experience includes working for Imperial College London, Bespoke Events by Harrods and Rhubarb at the Royal Albert Hall. She has worked on events includingthe Silverstone Formula 1 and the Global Champions Tour at the Olympic Park as well as running July Dinner week for 4,500 guests over three days and the Remembrance Day event attended by the Queen.

Christine is joining a team of four responsible for sourcing, targeting and winning new business for RIBA Venues across its 23 meeting rooms which include spaces for events from two to 400 guests with floor to ceiling windows, views over London and outside terraces.

Christine says: “I am delighted to have joined such a prestigious venue and am looking forward to building and maintaining the excellent service RIBA Venues stands for.

“My main goals are to make RIBA Venues the destination in London for large conferences, events and social gatherings and to deliver an outstanding customer experience by continuously analysing and improving our standards.”

RIBA Venues’ Head of Venues Stephanie Ellrott adds: “We are delighted to have Christine on board to look after the account and diary management and to be responsible for a team of four. She will add a WOW to the customer experience at RIBA Venues and ensure that long-lasting and strong relationships are built with our clients.”
